Watervliet Public Schools

The Watervliet Panthers moved to 3-0 on the season with a 40-33 victory at Michigan Lutheran High School Monday night. The Panther defense was electric out of the gate, holding the Titans to just 4 first quarter points. Both teams found their rhythm's in the 2nd quarter offensively but the Panthers led 22-15 at the break. Michigan Lutheran capitalized off of a number of Panther turnovers in the third quarter to tie the game up at 29 a piece. The 4th quarter was all Watervliet as they outscored the Titans 11-4 in the frame to close out the game. Daijahnae Hatcher led the charge for the Panthers with 13 points followed by Leila Liberto Taylor's 9. Isabella Bultema finished with 7, Moeko Crago 5, Kate Kostrzewa 4, and Addison Smith 2 to round out the scoring. The Panthers (3-0 overall, 1-0 SAC Lakeshore) host the Bridgman Bees on Friday night. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00pm.
