Panthers Come Up Short at Constantine

The Lady Panther Basketball team fell short against the host Constantine Falcons Tuesday night in a SAC non-divisional matchup, 29-24. The Panthers started off strong on the road taking a 10-9 lead after the first quarter. Daijahnae Hatcher scored 8 of her team high 14 points in the frame. The Falcons battled back in the second and led by 3 at the break. The 2nd half turn into a defensive showdown as neither team could find their footing offensively with Constantine doing just enough on the offensive end to pull away. Rounding out the scoring for Watervliet was Miranda Lowell 3, Isabella Bultema 2, Addison Smith 2, Kelsie Gaston 2, and Moeko Crago 1. The Panthers fall to 6-3 on the season. They are next in action on Friday when they take on Fennville at home. Tip off is scheduled for a 6:00pm start.
