Panthers Fall at the Buzzer vs. Fennville

The Lady Panthers lost a heartbreaker Friday night at home against the visitors from Fennville at the buzzer, 46-47. The game featured multiple lead changes throughout the night with the Panthers leading by double digits in the second half. The Panthers led 11-10 after one but trailed 15-19 at the break. The Panthers outscored the Blackhawks 21-10 in the third quarter and led 36-30 going into the final frame. Fennville rallied to take a 4 point with 27 seconds to play before Miranda Lowell hit her third three of the game to cut the lead to one. The Panthers then forced a Blackhawk turnover. Watervliet executed a base line out of bounds play in which Daijahanae Hatcher scored 2 of her team high 22 points with 7 seconds to play. Fennville then went the length of the court and hit a shot as time expired. In addition to Hatcher's 22, Miranda Lowell finished with 9, Aubrey Winnell 6, Isabella Bultema 5, Moeko Crago 2, and Hailey Adams 2. The Panthers fall to 6-4 on the season and 3-1 in the SAC Lakeshore division. They travel to Martin on Tuesday for a 7:00pm tip off.
