Lady Panthers Victorious Over Vikings Panthers vs Bangor High School (41 - 28) Win On Friday evening, the Lady Panthers hosted the Bangor Vikings. The Panthers scored first and opened the quarter immediately with stingy defense. Watervliet would take a 16-6 lead heading into the 2nd quarter. Bangor would chip away at the deficit as they outscored the Panthers 9-7 in the 2nd quarter, yet the Panthers would maintain a 23-15 lead heading in at half. The Panthers came out at half driven by a “Finish” mindset, as they were hunting back-to-back wins. Panthers offense and defense never relaxed as they caused constant pressure, along with blocking multiple Viking shot attempts. The Panthers stifling defense created fast break opportunities for multiple Panthers to find points in transition. The team would outscore the Vikings 18-13 in the second half, closing the game with a 13 point victory. The ladies are back in action as they travel to Martin on Tuesday to take on the Lady Clippers.
