Lady Panthers Lose A Tough One @ South Haven Junior Varsity vs South Haven High School (26 - 30) Loss On a cold snowy Thursday evening, the Lady Panthers traveled to South Haven to take on the Lady Rams. It was a slow start for both teams. Panthers would score first, defense was the leader for both teams in the first quarter. Panthers would take a 9-4 lead into the 2nd however the Lady Rams would cut into the deficit as the Panthers took an 11-9 lead. The Panthers entered the 2nd half with the same defensive mindset they had in the 1st half. Panthers 2-3 defense left the Rams puzzled causing many turnovers. Panthers would enter the 4th with a 17-11 lead. The ladies started the 4th with a 4-0 run causing a quick South Haven timeout. The Rams responded and tied the game with 3 minutes remaining. The Rams took the lead with 2 minutes however, the Panthers did not give up. A quick steal off the inbounds leading to 2 points and a jump ball in possession in favor of the Panthers. The team could not get a game tying shot in with time remaining as South Haven would add 2 more points and a 4 point lead to end the game.
