Boys' Varsity Basketball Dominates 2nd Half to Beat Saugatuck

Boys' Varsity Basketball used a tremendous 2nd half defensive effort to get the home vicotry over Saugatuck 52-43. The Panthers' defensive energy held the visitors to only 18 second half points. Watervliet won behind their defense and a balanced scoring attack with junior forward Kyle Domingo-Sturgeon leading the way with 12 points, including 6 in the 4th quarter. Also contributing in the scoring column for the Panthers was Caleb Jewell (10), Hayden Billings (9), Brayden Harasewicz (8), Tyler Jarvis (8), and Jayden Brassard (5). Watervliet also got big defensive contributions from forwards Remington Burke and DeAndre Rose. The Panthers play Friday at home vs. Allegan at 7:30 for Winterfest.
